PS : FORTRAN (short for “FORmula TRANslator”) was the first high level programming language and with extremely difficult syntax compared to today’s languages. FORTRAN was used only by scientists, and none of the modern day breed we call “programmers” got to it ever. FORTRAN usage dropped sharply after the 80s.

Same issue on NDTV again, but this time they are questioning if the students should have been expelled from school. Leading Psychiatrist Samir Parikh says, its not only normal, its also prevalent. They finally see the light ! Nachiket sees hope for the country. We are finally accepting the truth.

Yesterday, I saw a news feature on NDTV about a school girl from a good public school in Delhi who had sex with another classmate. The guy apparently, used his camera phone, to record a clip of this entire thing, and sent it via MMS to his friends. The clip circulated around pretty soon.
Immediately, school bans mobile phones. Girl and boy get suspended.

Now I saw the clip. Its floating around the web. The girl, is performing fellatio on the guy…and obviously enjoying it (see the clip) and she is also aware that she is filmed…and doesnt object. So it looks to me that the whole affair is consentual. Then what problem does the media have, which termed it as an "abuse" of cell phones and freedoms ?

These people just need something to rant and rave and have problems about . I don't agree with the school's decision of suspending them either, but hell, its their school , and they can run it as per their policies.

Why judge the two ? They did it, enjoyed it. They didn't mind it. What is your problem?

And then it struck me : The problem with our nation is just this. We won't let anyone be. We have to drag the *great indian tradition and values* into every second thing. We are the people who produced the Kama Sutra, generally segregated sex from marraige (i.e sex with a single person. If you go through the history, monogamy is a largely Christian concept…brought here by the missionaries. They did this not just in India, but also Africa and South and Central America.)

Indians have too many problems to harp on such trivial issues. So she gave the guy a blowjob. You dont like it? Then you didn't give anyone a blowjob while in school. Good for you.

I think what they did, they will take the consequences…whats your issue? Its not your face in the video , FGS! And certainly it wasn't anything more than what is seen in standard porn movies that I beleive most people see at least once.

I am up too long…I fell from chair and pulled something behind. Damn! Will have to get to sleep now…so much for sitting up late.

PS : I customized Firefox today with the TabBrowser ext. , edited userChrome.css a bit..and hey presto…I have an even better browser. By the way, I havent started IE on my computer for about a month. hehehe…

Thought I was slipping away again, did you? Hehhe, not this time. Its just that for the last week I have been completely busy with my end sems…and they are finally over. They were good, I enjoyed, and all in all, I think I’ve learnt a lot from the courses this term.

Anyway, quite a few things have happened these days, some things are new…some things not. Amongst the veryday affairs are the “advice” from concerned individuals about my eating habits and such. And for that, I have this to say, which certain important people have termed “nakhre” which means which means , in this context, “an unnecessary show of attitude or non-cooperation over trivial issues.” For that, I have one thing to say. Do not ask question whose answers you are not prepared to listen to.

As for eating habits, I like to eat on my own time, the way I want, which I assure you is scientifically sound and healthier than what is generally beleived. My test reports will show that. What many people do not understand that for all my passion to science and biology, I would never do anything that is obviously detrimental. To those who do not beleive me, I am proud (and now some people will call this arrogance, they never learn ), that I have never been wrong till date when it comes to biology, medicine and so on. This is not because I have some supernatural ability, but only because I research everything before formulating a belief, which may or may not adhere to “popular” beief. This is why its so difficult to change my opinion, not because I am stubborn, but most people are simply unable to provide enough logical evidence to show me otherwise compared to what I have already read through. When I ask for the evidence/reasons , they call it “kees kaadhne”. Again, you cant win ‘em all.

Besides that, there isnt much to say, today was uneventul, I have been sleeping only a couple of hours for the last 5 days and I made up for all that since yesterday…

Its now time for my holiday activities….More on that soon, plus Praising Pooja – II coming up.

Whew. If I may dare to say so, the worst is finally over. My two chemistry papers are done, and I have two days of holiday to study for the next two, as well as a day off before the last two papers. This is when I take a long pause , enjoy an imaginary cigar, enjoy the beauty of life and rejuvenate. Maybe I’ll even play The Sims 2 today.

Its finally here, the end-semester exam… I gave my first paper on Catalysis and Mechanisms today…and I think I did all right. Of course, that shall be seen later. Slept like a log in the afternoon, and will get around to the next one, Statistical Thermodynamics…which I realised is not as irrelevant to biology as it might seem at first impression. However, since the last quiz, I have a decent understanding of the Boltzmann partition function, so I’m more or less relaxed. Still have some stuff to do though. The weekend is a holiday … so I’ll be free tomorrow…I think I’ll take some snaps tomorrow and put ‘em on.
