First blogpost from Germany. I´m about to have breakfast soon and have to make this fast, and this German keyboard layout ain´t making it easy. This place, Dortmund is really a mix of many things. It´s like a city with most modern amenities, a internal tram, train and bus service, and no crowd!. Situated in the northest on the river Rhine, Dortmund is a industrial-port city. Lots of eating joints and cafes and bars….and some really delicious roast chicken is available near the Hauptbahnhof (main station).
It’s pretty pleasant this time of the year, about 12 deg through out the day though it does get chilly in the evenings. And the people speak English in shops etc., but not on the road. But I realise that once you get the German pronounciation correct (like Silberstrasse is Zilberstrass-uh), they can direct you around.
